1. Choose the right time to cut

The best time to cut flowers is early in the morning or late in the evening, when temperatures are cooler. This is when plants are most sensitive to humidity. Avoid cutting flowers in hot weather, as they may wilt quickly due to lack of water.

Cut the stems at a sharp angle. This increases the surface area available for water absorption and prevents the stems from resting all the way on the base of the vine, which can hinder water absorption.

4. Remove the lower leaves

Before placing flowers in a vase, remove any leaves that will be submerged in water. Leaves left in water can rot, rot, and promote the spread of bacteria, which will shorten the life of your flowers.

5. Conditioning

After cutting, place the flowers in warm water for a few hours. The conditioning process helps to moisturize the flowers and maintain the stem’s firmness.

6. Use flower preservatives (food additives)

Add a flower preservative to the water in your vase. This food contains essential nutrients and antibacterial agents that help keep the water clean and prolong the life of your flowers.

7. Keep flowers in a cool, dry place

Place your arrangements in a cool place, away from direct sunlight. Low temperatures slow down the rate of respiration of flowers and ensure their longevity.
